Moringa Oleifera is a popular tree that is widely used as a food source in Asia, the tree is grown mainly in semiarid, tropical, and subtropical areas.

Other names given to this plant include; Tree of Life or the Miracle Tree, ben oil tree or benzoyl tree, drumstick tree, and horseradish tree. The plant and leaves are dried and used for tea and spices.

The Moringa can also be used for water purification and hand washing and is sometimes used in herbal medicine, it's with young seed pods and leaves, that are used as vegetables.

The leaves of the tree can also be finely chopped and used as a garnish for vegetable dishes and salads.

The pods can be used in soups and curry dishes or chewed to extract the juices.

The pods are sometimes dried for its seeds for the preparation of cooking. The tree's mature seeds have around 38–40% edible oil, this oil is called ben oil from its high concentration of behenic acid.

Moringa also contains essential nutrients such as B vitamins, vitamin C, provitamin A as beta-carotene, vitamin K, manganese, and protein, among many others.

The plant is said to have cancer-curing properties, Lower Blood Sugar Levels, Cholesterol, inflammation, irritation, digestive issues and other illnesses.
